8/1 -- The American Slovak Club, 2915 Broadway in Lorain, is happy to announce that we will have the Ohio Lottery Keno game at the Club beginning Monday, August 4th, 2008. Come in and try your hand at an exciting game sponsored by the Ohio Lottery Commission.
8/1 -- The American Slovak Club will sponsor a 2 person scramble (2 teams per foursome) on Saturday August 23, 2008 at Willow Creek Golf Club. The event will begin at 9:02 AM and teams will take off every 8 minutes thereafter. The greens fees for 18 holes and a cart (mandatory) is $35 and is to be paid at the course. The individual entry fee is $20 (payable to John Akosi). The $20 fee includes sausage sandwiches at the turn (refreshements NOT included) AND a full steak dinner with all the trimmings back at the American Slovak Club, 2915 Broadway, Lorain, after golfing. It is important to note that ALL money from the entry fee, less the cost of the food, will go to cash prizes! Prize money will be awarded in each class to winning teams, for long drives and closest to the pin on selected holes. IMPORTANT: The entry fee must be paid to John Akosi, 8185 Baumhart Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001 or given to John personally by Saturday August 9th. Also, falure to show for your start time will result in forfeiture of your fee. For Further information, call John Akosi at (440) 984-2212 after 4 PM.
6/26 -- The league bowlers from Slovak Lanes scored well in the Slovak Bowling Congress Tournament (commonly referred to as the SBC's) which was held in Ferrel, Pennsylvania during April and May. The "Independents I" team of Dan Beachler, Bob Trifiletti, Josh Robles, Al Bender, and Jim Dillon finished in 6th place while the "Independents II" team of Dick Schrenkel, Tom Anderson, Walt "Penguin" Pustulka, Jeff Guyeska, and John Viskup finished 18th.

1/25 -- We are happy to present the prize list for the 50th Annual Slovak Lanes Singles Classic Bowling Tournament. Jim Valentine, from Warren, Ohio, was the winner in both the handicap and actual divisions. To see the complete prize list, please "click" on the attached files.
